To provide an authentic and immersive Australian Arma 3 MILSIM Unit whilst maintaining an active and professional community.

Vision

SOCOMD, as an Australian Arma 3 MILSIM Unit, aims to provide members with an authentic and enjoyable MILSIM experience through the use of realistic and proficient tactics in an immersive environment.

Who Are We?

SOCOMD is an Australian based Arma 3 MILSIM unit that operates as a fictional unit within the Australian Special Operations Community. We specialise in cooperative combined arms Arma 3 gameplay utilising equipment, weapons and vehicles employed by the ADF.

We don't enforce strict MILSIM rules like addressing members by rank or saluting officers; we do however, maintain a reasonable standard of discipline, authenticity and respect. Out of operations, we are mostly casual with plenty of Aussie banter, but when we jump into a mission, we expect all our members to be switched on.

Many of our members current and past were or are actively serving military personnel in the ADF, this is the unit for you if you want an immersive, authentic Australian Arma 3 MILSIM experience.

What We Do

 

Our Schedule

  • Our Main Operations are held on Friday Nights at 7pm AEST/8pm AEDT. This is our main effort, frequently runnning a full platoon and an aviation flight.

  • Run on a Wednesday evening (7:30 AEST/8:30 AEDT), small unit operations are limited to 12 players. They are designed to be more small scale and provide a different feel to the standard Friday night operation. These operations are first come first server and are not mandatory.

  • Training and interviews are conducted on request via our Discord. Once an applicant is successful, they can request their interview in our Discord where a time can be decided that suits both parties. The same goes for training once the new applicant has passed their interview.

  • Our community is fairly active, with Unofficial Operations (commonly referred to as Mini Operations) being held on most evenings. We also support other games through channels in our Discord. These include Halo, Groundbranch, Ready or Not and Elite Dangerous to name a few.
